Privacy notice

ColdCast-SA is a product of Eride Technologies, the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Contact our Information Officer at privacy@coldcast.co.za.

Your name, email address, optional mobile number, town or city and province.

Depending on how you join: the kind of work you do, your experience and agency (talent); your main platform, handle, audience size and niches (creators); your company, role, how often and how you book talent (clients); your agency, roster size and who you represent (agencies).

Technical details: the page and campaign link you arrived from, and a one-way scrambled version of your internet address that we use only to stop automated spam. We do not store your raw internet address and we do not use advertising cookies on this site.

We do not ask for ID numbers, banking details, photos or health information at this stage.

To contact you about joining, to invite people in a sensible order (for example, by province and type of work), to understand demand so we build the right features, and to send launch news if you ask for it.

We rely on your consent, which you give when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Only the ColdCast-SA team. We do not sell your details and we do not share them with clients, brands, agencies or advertisers.

We use these service providers (operators) to run the list, each bound by contract to protect your information: Supabase (database), Vercel (website hosting), Postmark (confirmation emails) and Telegram (internal alerts to our team, which include your name, town and company but never your email address or phone number).

Our database is hosted in the United Kingdom, and our providers may process information in the European Union and the United States. These countries have data-protection laws, and our providers are bound by agreements, that give protection substantially similar to POPIA, as section 72 requires.

Up to 18 months after you join. If you open an account on the platform, your details move to your account and that account’s privacy terms apply. Otherwise we delete them after 18 months, or sooner if you ask.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it or object to how we use it. The quickest way to delete it is the link in any email from us. For anything else, email privacy@coldcast.co.za and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, 010 023 5200).

The list is for people aged 18 and over. Children will be able to join later only through a parent or guardian, with their consent.

Your details are encrypted in transit and at rest. Only our server can read the database, and every staff action on the list, such as exports, is logged.

If we change this notice in a way that affects you, we will email you before the change applies. The version and date are shown at the top.
